A Day out with Thomas

On Sunday we bought tickets to "A Day out with Thomas" at the Snoqualmie Railroad.  We got there a couple of hours early to take advantage of some of the other activities they had.

When we first arrived, the kids were given a map of the place.  If they visited certain spots on the map, then they would get a prize at the end.  The first stop for us was the tattoo station!

The other places were the gift shop, the story telling tent and visiting Sir Topham Hat.  I don't have any pictures of their visit to Sir Topham hat besides the professional copy we bought, but Cameron absolutely loved seeing him!  He went right up to the guy(which looked really intimidating in my opinion!) and grabbed his hand.  He was a little concerned when the guy didn't hold his hand back...he had huge plastic hands!  Jacob was a little freaked out, but still went up with his little bro...Jacob's description: " He is soo creepy looking because his head is soo big!"

Finally it was our turn for the train ride!

The ride was about 1/2 hour long and went through Snoqualmie and up to the Falls.  It was a very old, shaky train!  I was pretty sure we were going to fall into the river with the amount of  side-to-side movement that was going on, be we did live to tell!

Kite Flying and a Ferry Ride

Last week we were trying to find something new, yet still exciting to do with the kids to get out of the house.  We ended up going to Mukilteo to do some kite flying!

Cameron was more into the rock throwing...

Both boys ended up enjoying the rock throwing the best!  If Cameron had his way, he would have gone swimming too...the kid loves water and has no fear!

We ended the evening by walking onto the ferry and going for a ride.  Cameron had never been on a ferry before and loved it.  He kept waving to anyone and everyone who would pay attention!

Jacob thought it was hilarious when he went out to the front of the boat and motioned for the captain to blow the horn, and the guy actually did!

Though, Cameron is enjoy this one too!

And ice cream cones too!  This was Cameron's first ice cream cone and he loved it!

He couldn't waste any....

I hope we have many more days of Summer!

Kindergarten Graduate!

Jacob had his Kindergarten graduation this morning.  I can't believe how quickly the school year has passed!  I am so proud of Jacob and how much he has grown and learned this year!  He is now reading, spelling, writing on his own doing addition and subtraction.  When asked what his favorite thing about kindergarten was, he said math and recess!

Here is a picture of him from the beginning of the school year:

And here is one with his diploma from today:

He doesn't have such a "baby" face anymore!

Here are a few more pictures from the graduation and the party afterwards.

Jacob getting his diploma

Cameron wanted to have his chance to get a picture too.  Sticking out his tongue, just like big brother!

Before I know it, they both will be graduating from high school!

Jacob's Birthday Party

Jacob celebrated his 6th birthday with a party at Jump, Rattle and Roll this past friday.  We did it a little earlier in the month this year with hopes that some of his friends from school would be able to attend.

He had a blast jumping and playing with all his friends and cousins.

Cameron had so much fun running around and doing pretty much whatever he wanted.  My favorite was when he would climb into the baby walker and run around while in it!

Jacob picked chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, same as usual lol.  He wanted me to decorate it Lego theme, but I knew with the craziness of the week that it would be better to just do Costco this time!

Jump, Rattle and Roll supplied an inflatable "throne" for the birthday child to open presents in and Jacob thought this was great!

He was very spoiled with presents!

He had a great day!
